AT&T Michigan Avenue Flagship Display “My Chicago”

Problem

Create a window display to compete with other store windows along the avenue in the annual window display contest. Attract cross promotion for the Art Institute of Chicago, who was displaying highlights from their collection.

Solution

In cooperation with Samsung, who provided 80 devices, we created a stylish cityscape of the Magnificent Mile and populated the windows with devices that played images from the art collection, all synchronized to switch out simultaneously. This coincided with an animation of the 18 monitor video wall positioned immediately to the left. The scene was lit dramatically with bright colors. We took the entire build-out from concept to completion.

Results

The installation grabbed two of the 9 awards given including the Fan Favorite and Most Engaging Awards. The window attracted crowds to gaze at the work. Statistics show that of those that stopped to look at the window, 73% came into the store to look around.
