"Singer" is a striking wooden sculpture created from a collection of cast-off materials, including parts from musical instruments, weaving looms, printing blocks, chair spindles, and even an old breadboard. As the piece took shape, it seemed to rise effortlessly, like a feather catching the breeze, transforming into a figure that exudes energy and movement. Old textile printing blocks and carved Victorian scraps became wings, evoking the feeling of a high note ready to take flight.
