Imperial intends to feel like a luxurious livable space, Frank Llloyd Wright style. The Imperial Hotel in Tokyo has always left an impression on me, and this piece melds many memories of my personal encounters with his many structures. An eclectic mix of antique scraps and authentic junk come together in a semi-refined manner. As if Robinson Crusoe had access to some floor plans and made the best of it. Made from eco-friendly, up-cycled materials, Imperial is a hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind wooden sculpture, showcasing sustainable art in in this homage to FFLW, the great master. The architectural design of the project includes cubby compartments to stash stuff, say, colognes and pocket squares.
