Buzz emerged from the vibrant forest and emerald green scraps left over from an earlier studio painting, taking shape as a tropical figure with an undeniable presence. The more details that were added, the stronger Buzz’s personality grew. Elements like bookshelf details from India, croquet mallets, a milking stool, bed posts, and candlesticks all came together to form this forceful, energetic sculpture. While some of the Second Life projects are delicate, like Singer, and others are imposing, like Kraken, Buzz grew compact, strong and sturdy, from the platform’s legs to its stylish haircut. Made from up-cycled materials, Buzz is an eco-friendly, artist-made, one-of-a-kind wooden sculpture that blends sustainable art with an original, hand-crafted design. Its three-dimensional form and use of repurposed materials make it a striking and unique creation full of life and energy.
