In this latest series, Jeff Doud explores three-dimensional wooden sculptures crafted with eclectic remnants and salvage from scrap bins around the world, along with painted cut pieces from his own studio work. These fragments channel the embedded energy of countless hours of human effort into expressive, robust new forms. Jeff captures the inherent humanity from these diverse cultural sources, each construction developing its own story, its secrets, and opportunities for exploration.

Jeff’s latest collection showcases passionate creative experimentation, injecting spirited personality into simple hand-hewn, dowel and glue physical compositions. Incorporating materials from diverse classical artisanship, arts and trades such as weaving and printing, and integrating worn and discarded objects, toys and music parts, the creations are striking, confident, playful, and full of optimism.
